Frequently asked questions

General questions

Is this real gold/silver?

Yes. All precious metal items carry the corresponding hallmarks of the Lithuanian Assay Office. Items with diamonds, sapphires, emeralds and rubies come with all the Lithuanian Assay Office certificates confirming the gemstones.

What kind of pearls do you sell?

We sell cultured pearls — natural pearls grown with human assistance on specialised farms. Please note that dark pearls tend to change shade over time.

What is rhodium?

Rhodium is a precious metal of the platinum group, shown in the periodic table as Rh (no. 45). It is silvery white, very hard and very durable. These properties are why it is used so often in jewellery: plating jewellery with rhodium gives it a white shine.

Silver and white gold items are the ones most often rhodium-plated, which gives them a reflective surface. Rhodium-plated silver does not tend to tarnish or yellow. Red and yellow gold items are also frequently rhodium-plated, either to produce a piece with contrasting shades or to add shine where stones are set.

Rhodium plating covers jewellery with a thin layer of the metal. Rhodium-plated items therefore need the same care as gold-plated ones. They must not be cleaned with abrasive products or with anything not intended for cleaning jewellery. There are dedicated liquids and cloths for caring for jewellery.

Orders

How do I know my order has been placed and is being processed?

Once we receive your order, a confirmation email is sent to the address you gave. The confirmation sometimes lands in the spam folder. If you did not receive it, contact us on +370 604 42021 or by email at info@brasco.lt and we will check the status of your order.

Why was my order cancelled?

An order is cancelled when:

  • It was not paid for within 2 working days;
  • We were unable to reach the buyer within 2 working days.
Can I buy jewellery in instalments?

Yes. Instalment plans in our online store are provided by "General Financing" and "Inbank Lizingas (Mokilizingas)". Instalments are available only where the basket total is at least 50 euros. You will find more detail here.

What does "item reserved or sold" mean?

Most of our items are one of a kind, so once an item is ordered it is removed from the online store catalogue immediately and is no longer available to other customers. If you have received an order confirmation by email, you can be certain the item is reserved for you.

Do you accept custom orders?

For custom orders, contact us by email at info@brasco.lt. Tell us what you would like and by when — for example resizing a ring, or making wedding rings. Custom orders are made against a deposit and cannot be returned.

Do you do engraving?

Yes. We can engrave certain items; engraving takes a few working days. We engrave only items bought from our online store. For engraving, contact us by email at info@brasco.lt.

Delivery

I want to collect the parcel from the post office myself. How do I do that?

In the "Your wishes and comments" field of the order, write "poste restante" and give the address of the post office where you want to collect it.

When will I receive a parcel sent by courier?

Couriers deliver from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 and 17:00. Your parcel will be delivered on the working day after it is dispatched. When an item is dispatched, the customer is sent an email with the parcel registration number.

When will I receive a parcel sent by post?

Your parcel will most likely reach your post office on the working day after it is dispatched. If a parcel sent through Lithuanian Post does not arrive, check where it is using the parcel registration code. If the code shows that the parcel is already at your post office, you can collect it there with the registration code and an identity document.

When can I collect a parcel from an LP Express terminal?

LP Express terminals are open around the clock. Parcels are delivered to the terminal you choose within 24 hours. Once your parcel arrives at the self-service terminal, you will receive an SMS or an email with the PIN code needed to collect it. The recipient must collect the parcel within 72 hours of it arriving at the terminal. Parcels are also delivered on Saturdays throughout Lithuania.

When can I collect a parcel from an Omniva parcel locker?

Omniva self-service parcel terminals are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Parcels are delivered to the locker you choose on the next working day. As soon as the parcel arrives, the recipient receives an SMS with the six-digit code that opens the locker door; the message also states the date by which the parcel must be collected. Parcels are held in the locker for 7 calendar days from the moment they arrive. Saturday delivery is available only in the larger cities: Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Panevėžys, Utena and Ukmergė.

How can I order without my family finding out — it is a surprise?

There are a few options:

  • Collect the parcel from an LP Express terminal;
  • Have the courier deliver to your workplace;
  • Have the parcel sent to your post office, marked poste restante.
I want my order delivered as a gift. How do I arrange that?

When placing the order, give your own details as the customer and the recipient's details for delivery. Note in the comment that it is a gift. If you would like, we will cut the prices off the labels or cover them.

What should I do if my parcel arrives damaged?

Important. When accepting an order from a courier, collecting it from an LP Express terminal or picking it up at the post office, check that the packaging and the goods are not damaged. If they are, note this on the receipt document and inform us by email at info@brasco.lt within 3 calendar days of receiving the parcel.
